Dimple Yadav, wife of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, today filed her nomination for the Lok Sabha by-election from Kannauj where the Congress has decided not to put any candidate. Accompanied by her husband, 35-year-old Dimple, who suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Congress' Raj Babbar in the by-election for the Firozabad parliamentary seat in 2009, filed the papers before the returning officer. Congress has decided not to field any candidate against Dimple in Kannauj.
