Another story of a whistleblower attacked, this time in Badayun district of Uttar Pradesh. A mob of over 150 people allegedly tried to set ablaze the District Supply Officer after he sealed a fair price shop selling adulterated diesel. An FIR has been filed against 154 people, most of whom remain unidentified. DSO Neeraj Singh had raided a fair price shop on Thursday, on the basis of a tip off. While returning from there, he was surrounded by a mob including women, which tried to set him afire by sprinkling kerosene on him.
