Byelections to three Lok Sabha and 33 assembly constituencies across nine states on September 13 are expected to be the first barometer of the NDA government's popularity since May this year when it won a resounding majority.

While the three LS bypolls are in Vadodara, Mainpuri and Medak - two of which happen to be in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "home" states, Gujarat and UP - with 11 assembly seats in UP, nine in Gujarat, four in Rajasthan and five in the Northeast, the bypolls acquire a pan-Indian flavour, the reason why the results would matter to both the ruling party and the Opposition.

The 11 assembly seats in UP are Saharanpur Nagar, Noida, Thakurdwara, Bijnor, Nighasan, Balha, Sirathu, Rohaniya, Hamirpur, Charkhari and Lucknow East. All of these were vacated by BJP MLAs who won the Lok Sabha elections and would therefore pose a challenge for the saffron party to retain that won 71 out of UP's 80 seats.

For More information on this news visit: http://www.itvnewsindia.com/
For More information on this news, visit: http://www.indianews.ind.in/
Connect with us on Social platform at: http://www.facebook.com/IndiaNewsTV
Subscribe to our You Tube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/itvnewsindia
Connect with us on Social platform at: https://www.facebook.com/pages/India-News/371196196360607
