A motion has been passed in the Rajya Sabha for constituting a Joint Parliamentary Committee to probe the VVIP chopper scam. A determined government passed the motion by a voice vote amidst walk out by the BJP, Trinamool and JDU. The BJP has argued that a JPC is not competent to conduct a custodial inquiry for the investigation.
