The PDP is ready to form the government in Jammu and Kashmir with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on issue-based agreements, party's chief spokesperson Nayeem Akhtar on Monday.<br /><br />Akhtar was talking to Headlines Today even as the BJP top brass held a discussion with the party's state leaders in New Delhi to discuss government formation.<br /><br />He said that formal talks are on with the BJP and the PDP has put its demands forward to the saffron party. "Let the BJP decide," he added.<br /><br />Akhtar said the PDP wants to end tension along the border and that it was for trade with Pakistan, not terror and tension.<br /><br />"We want Vajpayee's mission be taken forward," the PDP leader said referring to its alliance with the BJP at the Centre in the past.<br /><br />The BJP and the PDP have been exploring various possibilities for government formation since election results on December 23 threw up a hung Assembly.
