Former Najafgarh MLA Bharat Singh alias Bharte was on Sunday shot dead by assailants. The attackers, numbering eight, were yet to be arrested, police said.<br /><br />Police said Singh had gone to Abhinandan Vatika off the Najafgarh-Bahadurgarh road on Sunday evening for attending a private function when the incident occurred.
