After a 56-day sabbatical, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday made his first public appearance and met delegations of farmers at his residence in the national capital. The 44-year-old Gandhi, who returned home on Thursday from ‘leave of absence’, met about a dozen groups of farmers from different states ahead of his mega ‘Kisan’ rally at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday and held discussions with farmers over the Land Acquisition Bill.
