The wife of an Excise officer and his two minor children were found murdered inside their residence in Uttam Nagar area of west Delhi on June 1. The victims have been identified as Deepmala alias Deepa, 34, Saksham, 9, and Shaily, 2. The incident came to light around 8 pm when the Excise Officer, Amit, returned home. According to police, Deepmala was found hacked to death in the bedroom, while the kids were in the bathroom.
