NewsX: Big twist to the Gujarat Government giving go-ahead for seeking death penalty to former BJP minister Maya Kodnani and 9 other convicts for their role in the Naroda Patiya massacre.<br /><br />Indications are rife that Gujarat Government is watering down its clearance to the Special Investigation Team to appeal against the trial order, which sentenced them to life.<br /><br />The Modi Government under pressure from Sangh, has now found a legal way to detach itself from the case by referring the clearance to the Advocate General.<br /><br />Experts feel that the move is a well crafted one as the Modi Government could detach itself from the case and put the onus on the Advocate General to withdraw the plea.
