NewsX:Pallam Raju was born in Pithapuram, East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, India. He is an alumnus of the Hyderabad Public School (HPS), Begumpet (1971--1979), an Electronics & Communications Engineering graduate (BE) from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, AP (1979--1983) and an MBA from Temple University, Philadelphia, USA (1983--1985).<br /><br />He is an Ex NCC cadet. He is the current Human Resources Development Minister of India. Pallam Raju worked in Philadelphia and Boston in the USA and in Oslo, Norway, in the field of Computers and Information Technology.<br /><br />Currently a Member of Parliament (15th Lok Sabha), he had been elevated to a cabinet rank as HRD minister from being the Minister of State for Defence (Raksha Rajya Mantri RRM), Government of India.<br /><br />The education in India has a lot to accomplish especially in this phase. Dr.Pallam Raju talks our education lacks in vocational skills. The minister said the premier educational centre should emerge as the regional hub for research and development, besides collaborating with other south east Asian institutes.
