News X: Despite a strict order by Supreme Court recently, the acid attacks continue unabated. <br /><br />In the latest, a woman in Delhi NCR has been attacked. The victim has suffered 30 per cent burns and has been hospitalised. Doctors say her condition is stable.<br /><br />Remember, the apex court in its verdict on July 18th had directed state governments to give an increased compensation of 3 lakh. It also instructed the state governments to implement strict norms for purchase and sale of acid treating it as a poison under the Poisons Act of 1919.
