Indian Author Sushmita Banerjee has been shot dead in Afghanistan. The writer is best known for her memoir, Escape From Taliban. <br /><br />Reports say that militants arrived at her house in the country's Paktika province, tied up her husband and then took her out and riddled her with bullets. <br /><br />Sushmita had recently returned to Afghanistan to live with her husband and run a clinic.
