Poonam Azad, wife of suspended BJP MP and ex-cricketer Kirti Azad, is likely to join Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The news comes within a day of former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu resigning from his post of Rajya Sabha MP amidst speculation that he may be AAP’s CM candidate for the Punjab polls. Refusing to confirm the news, Kirti Azad said that it was his wife’s “personal decision” to join AAP or not.
