Hours after Yogi Adityanath was sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Mohd Shami was shot dead by some bike-borne assailants in Allahabad's Mau Aima town on Sunday night.<br /><br />According to reports, Shami was on his way back home when the attackers opened fire at him. He shot at five times, due to which he died on the spot.<br /><br />Soon after the murder, the locals came out to protest against the killing of BSP leader and even blocked Allahabad-Faizabad border.<br /><br />Shami had recently joined BSP after leaing Samajwadi Party (SP).<br /><br />In another incident, a railway official, his wife and daughter were murdered in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh.
