Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday joined the protest being held here by students from the Northeast following the death of Nido Taniam. <br /><br />Taniam, 20, from Arunachal Pradesh, succumbed to his injuries last Thursday after he was beaten up by several men last week at Lajpat Nagar-1 market in south Delhi following an altercation. <br /><br />Kejriwal will sit on dharna along with students from the Northeast a day after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi joined the protest. <br /><br />Rahul assured "very strict action" in the case and also said that a committee will be formed to review the treatment given to people from the Northeast. <br /><br />The protesters on dharna have been demanding action against those involved in the killing of Nido Taniam. <br /><br />Asserting that "what has happened was unacceptable", Rahul, while addressing the agitators at Jantar Mantar yesterday, said "....You can expect a very strict action and detailed study done by a committee on the issues of North-easterners of this country.
