Police is on the lookout for an eighth man in the West Bengal gang-rape of two women at a village in Amta under Howrah district recently. <br /><br />The eighth man, identified as an alleged Trinamool functionary, had led the attackers even as the opposition Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) said the rapes were an organized attack by the ruling Trinamool Congress group as political vendetta. <br /><br />While seven people were arrested already, the eighth person named in the FIR is Barun Makal, who is absconding. <br /><br />Media reports said he is an election agent of a Trinamool MLA and had led the attacks. <br /><br />CPI-M leader Mohammad Selim said: "This is a horrific case since men folk of the village were first forced to flee the village first. It was a organized gang-rape. Trinamool leaders are involved. What is happening in the name of change?
