Narendra Modi's first meeting with US envoy after 2002 Gujarat riots

US Ambassador to India Nancy Powell on Thursday met Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who is the front-runner to be the country's next prime minister, a signal that Washington was ending a long boycott of him over post-Godhra violence in 2002. <br />Ambassador Powell met Narendra Modi in Gandhinagar.
