Yet another twist in the Telangana tale saw the contentious bill being deferred in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday as BJP sought to extract a substantial financial commitment for Seemandhra from the government as the condition for facilitating passage of the legislation which is designed to boost Congress's prospects in the Telangana region. <br /><br />BJP is insisting on a specific commitment through the bill itself to compensate Seemandhra for the loss of resource-rich Hyderabad, and has spurned the government's contention that the matter be referred to the Finance Commission.
