West Bengal censor board bans 'Rape' film

The ghost of the Park Street rape case continues to haunt Tollywood, with yet another film on the subject hitting a brick wall. The censor board on Monday raised several objections to the movie 'Park Street' and sent it to the revision committee. <br /><br />The film, starring Dolon Roy, Pamela, Firdaus, Amitabha and Sudip Mukherjee, is directed by Partho Mukherjee, who had played the child's character in the Tanuja-Utpal Dutt-Ranjit Mullick film 'Lal Kothi' (1978). <br /><br />Agnidev Mitra's 'Teen Kanya' had faced similar objections, but scraped throu-gh to reach the theatres. But Mukherjee fears his film is in for tougher times.
