Angry workers of Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party faced water cannons from the police when they protested at the BJP's headquarters in Delhi this evening.<br /><br />The demonstration was held after Mr Kejriwal was detained briefly by the police in Gujarat in the western town of Radhanpur, hours after national elections were announced. <br /><br />The 45-year-old is on a four-day tour of Gujarat where he says he will conduct on-the-ground checks of the extensive development of the state that has been highlighted by Narendra Modi and the BJP in his campaign for prime minister.<br /><br />Mr Kejriwal was detained for failing to adhere to an election code of conduct that requires prior police permission.
