In yet another major impetus to the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of Lok Sabha elections, senior journalist MJ Akbar joined the saffron brigade on Saturday.<br /><br />In presence of party chief Rajnath Singh, the noted author was inducted into the party.<br />MJ Akbar's stint with the BJP is not his first in politics. He had in the late 80s contested elections from Bihar on a Congress ticket.<br /><br />It is being reported that the veteran journalist may be appointed as the party's spokesperson.<br />Having joined the party, Akbar batted for Narendra Modi saying that the country needed his leadership at the present times.<br /><br />Akbar who made his way to the Parliament in 1989 by winning the Kishanganj seat said, "Rajneeti is two words, one is Raj and the other is Neeti. I think I am more interested in Neeti."<br />"It is not that there are just problems.
