The Telecom Regulatory Authority Amendment Bill will be placed in the Lok Sabha on Friday when the House reconvenes after the Budget. <br /><br />The Bill has to be amended to allow the appointment of former TRAI Chairman Nripendra Misra as principal secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.<br /><br />Before the Ordinance was promulgated, the TRAI Act prohibited its chairman and members from taking up any other job in the central or state governments after demitting office. <br /><br />To make sure that there are enough numbers to pass the Bill, the Bharatiya Janata Party has ordered all its PMs to present in the House on Friday. <br /><br />Congress, meanwhile, is strategising to oppose the Bill.
