The Pakistan Rangers Friday violated the ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked firing at Indian positions on the international border in Jammu district, police said.<br /><br />1 Jawan and 5 civilians were injured when Pak rangers opened fire.<br />The firing started along the border at 1:00 a.m. that continued till 6:00 a.m. today morning. The firing has stopped but the situation is still tense but under control.<br /><br />The Pakistan Rangers targeted the Border Security Force (BSF) posts on the international border in R.S. Pura sector in Jammu Friday morning, a senior police officer said.<br />Mortar shells were used in the firing that started from the Pakistani side at around midnight. Some of the mortars landed in villages causing some damage.
