India Debates: Shiv Sena's first response to break-up

It was a day of parting ways in the two key camps in Maharashtra. Hours after the BJP announced it was splitting from Shiv Sena, the NCP ended its 15-year-old alliance with the Congress and declared it would "go it alone" in this elections against "communal forces".<br /><br />The NCP also quit the Congress-led government in the state, reducing it to a minority.
