Cory Booker Introduces Bill<br />to Legalize Marijuana Nationwide On February 28, Senator Cory Booker<br />introduced the Marijuana Justice Act. If passed, this bill will legalize<br />recreational marijuana use on a<br />federal level and expunge existing convictions. Senator Cory Booker, via Fox The bill also includes provisions that call for<br />reinvesting in the community, and offering<br />job training for affected communities. The Marijuana Justice Act is sponsored<br />by a number of fellow Democratic<br />presidential candidates. Among them are Elizabeth Warren,<br />Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris. Booker’s push for legalization comes at an<br />optimal time, as ten states and Washington D.C.<br />have legalized recreational marijuana. Other states such as New York and New Jersey<br />have stated their intent to do so in the near future.
