At a time when the world is discussing the discourse case on minorities’ rights, we are exclusively joined by author Farahnaz Ispahani who has written a scholarly book titled, “Purifying the Land of the Pure” on the minorities in Pakistan. Farahnaz Ispahani has been an activist, a politician, member of the National Assembly and also Advisor to the former Pakistan President Zardari. <br /><br />Farahnaz’s book talks about the minorities in Pakistan – a rare book in many ways. In her book, she has detailed about how minorities are being persecuted and why she sees less minorities than ever before in Pakistan. <br /><br />Farahnaz Ispahani said that at the time of partition the area that is now Pakistan had 23 percent non-Muslims but today that figure is at between 3 and 5 percent.
