Barisan Nasional’s Zakaria Hanafi made his maiden walkabout on Sunday as the newly-minted Semenyih assemblyman thanked the voters for choosing him on the first morning after his victory.<br /><br />Zakaria will be sworn in when the Selangor state assembly convenes on March 16th. He vowed to carry out his duty to bring the people’s voice to the parliament.<br /><br />The Semenyih assemblyman secured 19,780 votes against Pakatan Harapan’s Muhammad Aiman Zainali with a majority of 1,914 votes.
