British Prime Minister Theresa May is meeting with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker for last ditch talks over a Brexit deal.<br />Their discussions come on the eve of a crucial parliamentary vote on Tuesday.<br />The face-to-face meeting comes after several phone calls between the pair aimed at reaching an agreement that will satisfy skeptical MPs.<br />However as of yet, those talks have produced no major breakthrough.<br />The Irish backstop remains a key sticking point.<br />Many Brexiteers fear an open Irish border would subject the UK to EU customs rules permanently. <br />London and Brussels are continuing to discuss the EU's offer of a legally binding assurance that the backstop was intended to be temporary. <br />
