Conor McGregor Arrested
on Felony Robbery Charges Former UFC champion Conor McGregor
was arrested in Miami Beach for
one count of strong-armed robbery
and one count of criminal mischief. McGregor reportedly smashed a fan’s phone
outside the Fontainbleau hotel at around 5 a.m. The fan was trying to take a photo
of McGregor when he slapped it
out of his hand and stomped on it. McGregor then took the phone,
valued at $1,000, and left. The incident was captured on a nearby
surveillance camera and reported to
police who later arrested him at his home. He was booked
into Miami-Dade
jail where he was
released shortly after
on a $12,500 bond. McGregor is currently serving
a six-month suspension from the
UFC for participating in an
arena-wide brawl in October 2018. It is unclear whether this latest
incident will further delay his
anticipated return in April 2019.
