Odell Beckham Jr.<br />Traded to Cleveland Browns Beckham is being traded by<br />the New York Giants in exchange<br />for a first-round pick at the 2019 NFL draft. The Giants will also receive the<br />Browns’ second third-round pick,<br />as well as defensive safety Jabrill Peppers. The trade is a surprise as Beckham has<br />played five seasons with the Giants and is<br />considered one of the league's best wide receivers. Dave Gettleman, Giants general<br />manager, previously stated the team<br />had no plans to trade Beckham. The Giants signed Beckham to a five-year<br />$95 million contract in August 2018,<br />the biggest ever signed by a receiver. John Dorsey, Browns general manager, hopes<br />Beckham will provide the power the team needs<br />to become legitimate contenders in 2019. The Browns won only seven of their games in 2018,<br />and haven’t made it to the playoffs since 2002.
