Jussie Smollett Pleads <br />Not Guilty to Faking <br />Attack Against Himself Smollett entered his plea <br />on Thursday after being indicted <br />on 16 felony counts of disorderly <br />conduct by a grand jury in Chicago. The 'Empire' actor was previously charged with <br />staging a hate crime against himself but has <br />maintained his innocence from the beginning. He is currently out <br />on $100,000 bail. If convicted, Smollett could face <br />up to three years in prison. He would also have to pay a $25,000 <br />fine for each of the 16 felony counts. Smollett's next court date <br />is set for April 17.
