David Bowie's 'Starman' <br />Demo Fetches <br />$61K at Auction The collection sold <br />to an undisclosed buyer<br />at Omega Auctions in the U.K. It contained one <br />of the first recorded <br />versions of the hit song. It also contains early <br />versions of "Moonage <br />Daydream' and "Hang <br />Onto Yourself." The tape recording was <br />made in 1971 by Bowie <br />with his "Spiders From <br />Mars" guitarist Mick Ronson.
