The U.S. Senate has rebuked President Trump's declaration of a national emergency at the southern border.<br />Twelve Republicans joined Democrats in Thursday's vote to overturn Trump's declaration aimed at providing billions of dollars in state funds for his border wall with Mexico.<br />In a tweet shortly later, the president vowed to veto the decision. <br />Congress needs a two-thirds majority of both chambers to override a presidential veto, which is unlikely. <br />The issue could ultimately be decided by the courts.<br />Thursday's vote came just a day after the Senate dealt another blow to his foreign policy by voting to end U.S. support for the Saudi Arabian-led coalition's war in Yemen. <br />
