Following other countries' suit, South Korea has decided to ban Boeing 737 Max aircraft from landing and taking off at local airports, and from passing through the country's airspace.<br />This decision comes after there were two crashes involving the 737 Max model in a five-month period.<br />On Thursday, the Transport Ministry notified airlines worldwide of the decision, and said the measure will last 3 months.<br />The government also plans to ban any additional acquisitions of the model until it is shown to be safe. <br />
