Armed police in south London have responded to reports of a gunman threatening to kill and shoot people this morning (March 19).<br /><br />Lower Addiscombe Road in Croydon has been blocked off by officers as the suspect is said to have taken refuge in a vehicle.<br /><br />Croydon Police tweeted: “Police were called shortly after 08:30hrs today by a man threatening to harm people. <br /><br />“Officers, including armed officers, attended and located the man in a car in Pagehurst Road, Addiscombe. <br /><br />“Officers remain with the man and are attempting to peacefully resolve the incident.”<br /><br />The filmer explained: "[At] around 10:00 am countless police cars and vans driving down with sirens. <br /><br />"[The] word around [was] a man was with a gun shouting he’d ‘kill people.’ Still going on now."
