The joint hosting of a mega sporting event by the two Koreas could come sooner than imagined as South Korea's football association has formally expressed an interest in co-hosting the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. <br />FIFA announced Tuesday that they have received a record nine expressions of interest for the top global event in women's football,… and one of the bids is by the two Koreas. <br />The possibility of a joint Korean bid for the tournament surfaced earlier this month,… when FIFA first mentioned the possibility of a joint Korean bid.<br />The host nation for the 2023 Women's World Cup is expected to be revealed in March 2020.<br />Meanwhile, last month the two Koreas formally expressed their intent to co-host the 2032 Olympics, five months after agreeing to work together for the joint bid. <br />
