Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad says Malaysia will try to save Sarawakian Michael Garing who is scheduled to be executed in Changi Prison, Singapore on Friday.<br /><br />Dr Mahathir said many believe that the death penalty is excessive and hopes that Singapore feels the same way too. <br /><br />He was speaking to reporters during a press conference in the Parliament lobby on Wednesday.<br /><br />Michael Garing of Kapit, Sarawak, was convicted of murder in Singapore in 2015.
