Spring Is Bringing <br />Higher US Gas Prices For the most commonly-used regular gas, <br />a gallon is now an average of $2.58. In less than two months, tech company GasBuddy says pricing has jumped 35 cents. GasBuddy adds that the uptick is partly due to people driving more <br />as the weather gets warmer. The other reason is due to production cuts by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). During the spring season is <br />when refinery maintenance <br />for vehicles takes place. The process takes crude oil and filters <br />it into petroleum products. Prices have gone up the most <br />in the state of Michigan.
