The United States plans to provide government funding to address the dire human rights situation in North Korea.... and also to let more outside information flow into the regime.<br />Voice of America reported that,... the U.S. State Department is going to fund two to five projects to the tune of five million U.S. dollars.<br />One-and-a-half million will be set aside for projects that record North Korea's human rights abuses through an online database or reports.<br />The rest will be for helping outside information to get into the North... through, for example, radio broadcasts and contents that appeal to ordinary North Koreans. <br /><br />
