More than 80 people have died after a ferry sank in the Tigris river in Iraq's city of Mosul.<br />The overloaded vessel was carrying families celebrating the Kurdish new year and Mother's Day. <br />Reports suggest nearly 200 people were on board.<br />Officials said many of the dead were women and children who could not swim.<br />Iraq's prime minister has ordered an investigation.<br />Authorities had reportedly warned about rising water levels as the gates of the Mosul dam had been opened, and some are accusing the ship operator of ignoring the advice. <br />
