The National Assembly kicked off confirmation hearings for seven minister candidates today... and Choi Jeong-ho, President Moon Jae-in's pick for transport minister is first in the hot seat.<br />Lawmakers are likely to focus on Choi's morality,.... particularly as he's accused of some shady real estate deals.<br />There will be confirmation hearings for other nominees this week... including those picked to head up the unification, interior, and science ministries.<br />The spotlight is especially on unification minister nominee Kim Yeon-chul's hearing on Tuesday,... because if he's appointed... he will be Seoul's new negotiator with North Korea.<br />The Presidential Office and the ruling party expect all the nominees to be confirmed. <br />
