This is the terrifying moment a driver escaped being hit by a semi-trailer on Shanghai–Kunming Expressway after pulling his car over and getting out on the hard shoulder.<br /><br />In the CCTV video, captured in Jiaxing City in eastern China's Zhejiang Province on March 20, a man steps out of his electric car which had broken down, and asks help from police on his phone while standing on the other side of the guardrails.<br /><br />However, a semi-trailer suddenly speeds into the car from its back and drags it forward, completely smashing it.<br /><br />According to reports, the driver followed police instructions after his car broke down to turn on a warning sign for 150m before pulling over, then putting on the emergency flashers and stand off the road.<br /><br />The semi-trailer driver did not notice the car and crashed into it because of fatigue while driving.<br /><br />Fortunately, no one was injured.
