An eight-metre-tall statue made from 100,000 weapons seized by police has arrived in Coventry, central England. <br /><br />Designed by Alfie Bradley, the imposing work of art aims to explore the devastation that knives can bring to people's lives.<br /><br />The structure, in the shape of an angel, reportedly took more than five years to create.<br /><br />Jimmy Connor, who filmed the video, described the feeling at the sculpture as "very poignant" as families laid down flowers for their loved ones.<br /><br />Some of the knives are engraved with messages from families of victims of knife crime.<br /><br />The UK has been suffering from a knife crime epidemic with 40 people losing their lives since the start of the year.
