Incredible footage of an elephant seal nearly crushing a group of penguins who were in his area of the beach in South Georgia. <br /><br />The clip, filmed on December 21, shows the male elephant seal scoping out the beach to find a mate, when he sees a group of penguins resting in the wrong area and decides to charge his sizeable bulk at them.<br /><br />“Once he’d rested on the beach, he then moved off heaving his huge body like a giant grub as penguins scattered to stay out of his way.” Bob, the filmer told Newsflare.<br /><br />Southern Elephant Seal males grow to 5.8 metres (19 feet) long and weigh up to 4,000 kilograms (8,800 pounds), and are typically five to six times heavier than females.
