Program: Karachi 2Day<br /><br />DIGP Operations’ initiative on the direction of IGP Sindh Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam<br />Anchor Bilal Khan in today’s program took live DIGP Operations Sindh Mr. Maqsood Ahmed and questioned him on the recent change in uniforms of Sindh Police.<br />Answering a question, DIGP Operations said that when the performance of police is questioned, questions shall also be raised about their morale considering the comfort zone of a constable. <br />The main reason to change the uniform is to provide constable a comfort zone where he and his commander (IGP Sindh) will be wearing a uniform of same fabric and color, it will help boosting the morale of constable.<br />DIGP Operations added that the new uniform is designed in accordance with latest international standards.<br />Mr. Maqsood Ahmed highlighted the extraordinary performance of police during recent PSL matches played in Karachi, saying that entire policing process of Sindh Police is on its way to revamp.<br />DIGP Operations remarked that Sindh Government is extending its full support to bring reforms in Sindh Police.<br />Answering a question related to the complaints against police personnel or an officer, DIGP Operations Mr. Maqsood Ahmed told that a ‘Complaint Redressal Mechanism’ has been initiated to address the complaints of citizens, the mechanism is also supported by the Supreme Court.<br />DIGP Operations further stated that IGP Sindh Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam has clearly instructed all the concerns that he will not tolerate the delay in lodging complaint/FIR, failing to which departmental action will be taken.<br />Citizens facing any hurdle in registering their complaints should approach the complaint centers which operates under a SP or DSP ranked officer.<br />Mr. Maqsood Ahmed said that reporting rooms are also planned to be established at all police stations to ensure complain lodging process hassle-free.<br />Analyst Sadaqat Hussain commented that police shall ensure the law and order situation and make reforms in policing.<br />He added that police should treat the citizens adequately and urged for the change in behavior of police along with uniform. - 28.03.2019.<br />
