The 'Korean Monster' is back with an impressive new record. <br />LA Dodgers pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin becomes the first South Korean pitcher to win on the opening day of the Major League Baseball season since Park Chan-ho did so 18 years ago. <br />Ryu took the mound against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday,… giving up just one run in six innings, and getting eight strike-outs to help the Dodgers win 12-5 in their opening game.<br />The 31-year-old is hoping to have a healthy season this year after missing three months of the 2018 season with a groin injury. <br />
