Alien registration cards issued to ethnic Koreans from China and Korean-Chinese will now show both their English and Korean names.<br />ID cards used to be issued with only English names matching those on passports.<br />The absence of Korean names has sparked complaints.<br />The new measure means people with documents from the Chinese government classifying them as ethnic Koreans living in China can have their Korean names on their IDs.<br />Korean-Chinese can apply for the new system regardless of when they were registered. <br />
