Johor Menteri Besar Osman Sapian said factories in Pasir Gudang will be relocated to more suitable locations in the state.<br /><br />According to Osman, when the factories in Pasir Gudang were built over 30 years ago , the area was undeveloped, however it's no longer suitable for factories.<br /><br />In early March, the dumping of chemical waste into Sungai Kim Kim, resulted in over 4,000 residents seeking treatment for various symptoms, including nausea, dizziness and vomiting, due to exposure.<br /><br />The incident also resulted in all 111 schools in Pasir Gudang being closed for the safety of the pupils, teachers and school staff.
