A new report says more than 113 million people across 53 countries experienced "acute hunger" last year,... due to wars and climate disasters.<br />The UN's annual study, first launched three years ago,... shows Africa was the worst-hit region,... with close to 72 million people on the continent suffering acute hunger. <br />On a brighter note,... the study noted the overall situation slightly improved compared to 2017,... when 124 million people suffered from acute hunger.<br />However, the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization warned the year-on-year trend of more than 100 million people facing famine is unlikely to change. <br />
