Apple Surpasses <br />Spotify With Most <br />Paid US Subscribers A report in the <br />Wall Street Journal says that <br />at the end of February, Apple <br />had 28 million paid U.S. subscribers. Spotify had 26 million. Sources say that Apple <br />has had a monthly growth <br />rate that is 1% to 1.5% higher <br />than that of Spotify. Spotify's global overall users <br />still greatly outnumber Apple's. But Spotify's average <br />revenue per user is declining <br />even as the service continues to grow. Apple Music has also <br />taken the lead over <br />Spotify and YouTube <br />Premium in India. Spotify recently filed a complaint against Apple in Europe, claiming the company is operating unfairly.
